With all things large and small taking up your time, I beg you to let something else go and instead spend that time reading a story (or two) to your kids each night. A love of reading, along with a sense of security, will develop knowing that bedtime includes one-on-one time with a parent and a good story. Here are some of our favorite reading materials:
-
A Giraffe and a Half by Shel Silverstein
- Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown
-
The Kiss That Missed by David Melling
-
The Man in the Moon (Guardians of Childhood) by William Joyce
- The Monster’s Ring by Bruce Coville
- The Search for Wandla by Tony DiTerlizzi
