Wishing everyone a super day! The cool weather will keep the filled plastic eggs from melting the chocolate during the egg hunt. I state this because one year – when Corinne was young and Easter fell on a warm day – the melted chocolate made for quite an awful mess. Not that the kids cared…but…ugh, it was gross. It has been many years but still forefront in my mind. Â Lesson on egg hunts, plastic eggs, and chocolate learned! Lily, Patrick, and my Mom will join us for dinner later. For that, the peaceful day, and the wonderfulness that is life, I am thankful.
P.S. The dogs received their Easter dog cookie biscuits (devoured in 30 sec flat). I am sure they are thankful as well…maybe.
My parents learned a similar lesson when I was about 6. The tooth fairy left chocolate, which melted over night and they got awoken buy a crying 6 year old who thought she’d messed the bed over night! Not funny at the time but almost 20 years later and I can laugh about it now đŸ˜‰
Oh no!! That must’ve been quite upsetting to wake up to…for you and your parents!
